Still the man of the house…

With me being a stay at home dad and my wife bringing home the majority of our income (minus the $1 an hour I average watching my niece Anna), you would think that a lot of the at home roles would be reversed also… not so much, sure I have my share of chores during the day… changing diapers, washing dishes, cleaning the house… but I’m home and there is no reason for Jenn to have to worry about that when she gets home.On occasion I get reminded of my husband/daddy/uncle… all around male responsibilities… be it the killing of ugly bugs, the moving of heavy things…

Driveway

or as the case this morning, after the accumulation of about a foot of snow, the digging out the driveway. Before 6:00 in the morning! I own a nice little snow-blower… works great for anything below 6 inches of snow… so this morning, not a big help. So it took me a little over 2 hours (and I didn’t even shovel the entire thing), I got Jenn off to work… a little late but in time for her 9:00.Sure it sucked getting out there this morning… but that’s the job of this husband/daddy/uncle/all around male of the house……looks like it’s time to feed Emma, and get her clothes changed… the 5 year old is hounding me, saying she’s hungry…
