A year ago…

A year ago yesterday I worked my last day at the Auto & RV publication and finished a roller coaster chapter of my life…

I had some great ups… I got married. A couple of friends and I took up a weight loss challenge, where we lost a lot of weight… and they helped me lose 100 pounds. I had the pleasure of crossing paths with some great people along the way… a couple who welcomed me into their family. The owner of Chimps Comix, who works two jobs to help support his family and passion. A single mother trying to make ends meet while raising her boy. And… Joe… Some have moved away and started families and new lives… One is living in Vegas. One is living in Illinois with her husband and baby girl… a couple of them are now in the Army… I have been blessed to still call these people friends.

I also had some low points… most of them are a drunken haze and I’ve chosen to forget about them… but none of us working at the Auto & RV at the time of the upgrade will forget or want to repeat that experience… we did get some nice paychecks through..

I had a rather long to do list of things that needed done around the house between the time of the end of my job and Emma being born… I was suppose to have two weeks… Emma gave me 7 days… I still have things not checked off that list…

I ended that chapter by starting a new chapter when Emma was born… and I couldn’t have enjoyed this year more.
